Grzegorz Stępniak repeated his result from the prologue of Podlasie Tour and kicked off Wyscig dookola Mazowsza with second place.
Individual time trial, which opened up the 5 day event, was only 2,5 kilometers long. The arc-shaped course, with two turnarounds, ran next to the horse race track in Służewiec.
Konrad Tomasiak (Kolss-BDC) set the best time in the prologue. Grzegorz Stępniak came in only 2 seconds down on the winner. Andriy Vasylyuk (Kolss-BDC) claimed third. Thanks to the second place in the first battle of the race, the CCC Sprandi Polkowice’s sprinter will be wearing most active rider jersey on tomorrow’s stage from Warsaw to Ciechanow (148km).
Aside from Stępniak, also Tomasz Kiendyś made the top 10, as he finished eight.
