Very young, but strong at the same time, lineup will take on Italian one-day race, Trofeo Laigueglia (11.02, 1.HC). For six riders on the roster it will be an inaugural event of 2018 season.
CCC Sprandi Polkowice will be represented in Italy by fast Alan Banaszek and Frantisek Sisr. They will try to contest the sprint in case of a bunch gallop. Piotr Brożyna is the team’s first option on the climbs, while Patryk Stosz, Kamil Małecki and Szymon Sajnok will try to make things interesting by being aggressive and lively.
Trofeo Laigueglia is 203,7km long and is held in undulating terrain of Northwest Italy, on the Ligurian Sea. Both the start and the finish will be located in Laigueglia and the final 45km of racing will run around the city, on a lap which will be tackled 4 times. There is one “bump” on the circuit, which is around 1km long and this is where the peloton may get shattered.
In the previous two editions the pack broke in pieces and small groups would arrive at the line. Since the riders will face a similar course, that could also be the case in 2018.
